BOSTON — Andover’s Maggie Mullins had a goal to run the 2-mile in under 10:50 at All-States yesterday.
There was only one problem: Her nerves got the better of her.
Mullins was the top seed in the event, with a personal best time (10:51.04) that is just shy of North Andover great Kirsten Kasper’s three-year-old area record of 10:48.68.

Trailing Hamilton-Wenham by 4.5 points, Eleni Coufos, Carrie Manteiga, Danielle Coskren and Mikayla Guthrie combined for a 4:23.78 clocking and vaulted the Knights to the championship.

As part of a 49-37 track victory over Lynnfield, Pentucket freshmen Paige Wesolowski (600) and Brianna Repke (1000) posted times that qualified them for the CAL meet. Despite only four victories, the Sachems placed 17 point scorers out of 22 spots for the team win.
