Pentucket out-hit Haverhill eight to three but left eight runners on base as the Sachems got the tough luck loss. Sam Morrow was 2 for 3 and Colleen Jenkins got the lone RBI on a groundout for Pentucket.

Bernadette Corrado delivered the game of her career, driving in six runs on four hits and scoring once as Pentucket bested Manchester Essex 11-6. Julianne Meehan added three hits and two runs and pitched a complete game.

Julie Anne Meehan (7 IP, 6 hits, 3 ER, 4 walks, 8Ks) pitched well for the Sachems (3-4). Bernadette Corrado (4 for 5, 6 RBIs, double), Meehan (3 for 4, RBI), and Sarah Dickinson (3 for 5, RBI) all played well for Pentucket.

Lynnfield racked up four runs in the top of the seventh, but Pentucket held on to win 7-6. Sarah Dickinson pulled off a nice suicide squeeze bunt to bring Leigh McNamara in from third to score the winning run in the sixth, and Julianne Meehan came back to strike out the last two batters of the game after getting a little shaky in the seventh.

The Sachems (2-3) won their second game in a row thanks to a nice showing from pitcher Julie-Anne Meehan who threw a complete game with seven strike outs, four walks, and six hits. Sarah Dickinson (3 for 3, RBI) knocked in the game-winner on a suicide squeeze, and Nicole Chevalier (2 for 3, 2 RBIs) had a strong game.

Julie Ann Meehan picked up the complete-game victory for Pentucket (1-3). She allowed three runs and five hits. She issued three walks and struck out nine. She also had the game-tying RBI-double. Her sister, Jen Meehan, knocked in the game-winning RBI on an infield single.

Pentucket's softball team lost its third straight game, 7-4 to Amesbury, but you couldn't blame sophomore Bernadette Corrado, who had a career day with two home runs and a third hit that could have been a roundtripper.

Lisa Betances and Katie Demers each blasted two-run homers as Haverhill cruised past Pentucket 12-0. Alicia Briggs and Kianna Nicosia each added two RBIs.
