Pentucket's softball team lost its third straight game, 7-4 to Amesbury, but you couldn't blame sophomore Bernadette Corrado, who had a career day with two home runs and a third hit that could have been a roundtripper.
Corrado had two shots to center field and had another that skidded past an outfielder that Pentucket coach Dennis Puleo ruled a single and three-base error. "My assistant coach wanted me to give her a homer, and it could have nee, but I thought it was a single," said Puleo.
Nevertheless, it's the first time in Puleo's 25-year coaching career that he can recall having one of his players hit two home runs in the same game,
