The Sachems (2-3) won their second game in a row thanks to a nice showing from pitcher Julie-Anne Meehan who threw a complete game with seven strike outs, four walks, and six hits. Sarah Dickinson (3 for 3, RBI) knocked in the game-winner on a suicide squeeze, and Nicole Chevalier (2 for 3, 2 RBIs) had a strong game.
"We jumped on them early, but struggled later on by allowing four runs in the seventh," said Pentucket coach Dennis Puleo. "But Julie-Anne Meehan saved the day and struck out the last two batters."
