Having attended many of the Hillie Matches, I wonder if you believe that Meghan Gulbrandsen plays by herself on defense. Meghan is an outstanding goalie who will only get better, but she has five oustanding defenders playing in front of her that minimize the difficult shots that she has to defend. Since you refuse to acknowledge them, I will. Alphabetically - Haverhill's Wall: Melissa Clark, Ashley Duff, Nicole Evancha, Jasmine Hussein and Cassie Lefebre. Unheralded, but the real heart soul of this team

Hey Soccer Dad, Sounds like sour grapes! The keeper had to save TEN shots that got by her team mates! If she did not save them they would not have won. Keepers win and lose games> The keeper has no say what is printed in paper. Give her her credit and a break Soccer Dad aka SOUR GRAPES DAD

Hey Sportsfan9 Were you at the games? How many of those ten were goal saving? If you read what I said, I did not criticize Meghan- just the opposite. Eight shutouts are the result of a strong defense that also needs recognition. So why not read and understand what is written before commenting - or should I call you illiterate SPORTSFAN9

Sour Grape Dad I read your comment and responded aprropriately. Ten shots aginst her (actually got by her defenders) ten saves. Yes I was at the game. Which one of the five girls you mentioned is your daughter?

A ball that the goalie calls off the defenders to make a clean catch is not what I call a save, it is what the scorers do though. I at least picked five strong team players - are you a hero worshipper or do you believe that soccer is played by only one person. You're most likely related to Meghan. Anyhow, they won the league and hopefully will do well in the tournament. Go Hillies

Meghan is great as are the three defenders in front of her. When Molly went in the goal when Meghan was hurt, the defenders saved the game. Cudos to all of the Hillie girls. They had a hill of a season.
