LAWRENCE — The Lawrence football team's winless streak continued Friday as the Lancers were shut out by Tewksbury 21-0.

Tewksbury took an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 29-yard pass by Jay Connolly to Masyn Lorick. Then the Redmen made it 13-0 going into halftime on a 6-yard rushing TD by Brandon Winn.

The Redmen added a late touchdown in the fourth on a 2-yard TD by Winn, and all throughout the Tewksbury defense shut down the Lawrence offense.

Lawrence quarterback Jake Tamayo went 10 for 26 passing with 101 yards and two interceptions. Ronyel Pena made two catches for 42 yards, Dylan Montanez had three catches for 27 yards, and the Lancers collectively ran for just 51 yards on nine carries. Winn led Tewksbury with 87 yards rushing and two TDs on 15 carries, and Connolly went 10 for 13 with 185 yards passing, a TD and an interception.

Lawrence (0-5) is at Methuen next Friday at 7 p.m. Tewksbury improves to 4-1 with the win.
