Read More »NORTH READING — Trailing 17-7 with 2:54 to play in the third quarter, the North Reading football team erupted for 33 points over the final 15 minutes to beat Triton 40-31 on Friday night.
The Hornets scored twice in the final minute of the third quarter, scoring a TD with 0:55 in the quarter before recovering the onside kick and then scoring again two plays later. The Hornets extended their lead with another touchdown with 8:04 to play in the fourth, and after Triton responded to cut the lead to 28-25, North Reading scored twice more to put the game out of reach.
