Berroa boosts Brooks

Sophomore guard David Berroa of Lawrence was outstanding on both ends of the court, scoring 14 points and adding six rebounds and five assists as top seed Brooks dropped No. 8 Groton, 59-40. Increased defensive intensity in the second half allowed Brooks to pull away for the victory. Next up will be the winner of No. 4 Kingswood and No. 5 Rivers in semifinal action Friday at Williston.

Barry scores 26

Anthony Barry scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Brooks put the finishing touches on an outstanding 20-win regular season with a 63-49 win at Roxbury Latin.  Connor Mahoney had 20 points and eight reounds.  Brooks now waits to hear its fate for the upcoming Class B Prep school tourney.

Connor Mahoney scored 17 points and ripped down 13 rebounds as Brooks won a key Class B game, 61-46 over Rivers.  Mahoney led three players in double figures as Anthony Barry scored 12 and Aaron Davis added 11.
