Kingswood-Oxford used a 19-2 run midway through the first half to seperate itself from Brooks and hand the Green and White a 61-58 setback, last night in the Class B semifinals at Williston-North Hampton. 

Sophomore guard David Berroa of Lawrence was outstanding on both ends of the court, scoring 14 points and adding six rebounds and five assists as top seed Brooks dropped No. 8 Groton, 59-40. Increased defensive intensity in the second half allowed Brooks to pull away for the victory. Next up will be the winner of No. 4 Kingswood and No. 5 Rivers in semifinal action Friday at Williston.

Anthony Barry scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Brooks put the finishing touches on an outstanding 20-win regular season with a 63-49 win at Roxbury Latin.  Connor Mahoney had 20 points and eight reounds.  Brooks now waits to hear its fate for the upcoming Class B Prep school tourney.

Brooks only trailed national power St. Mark's by four points at halftime and gave its talented opponent a serious challenge before falling, 65-53. 

NORTH ANDOVER — With prep schools transforming into college basketball factories all over New England and the sleaze factor rising to all-time highs in the chase for players, John McVeigh rebels.

Connor Mahoney scored 17 points and ripped down 13 rebounds as Brooks won a key Class B game, 61-46 over Rivers.  Mahoney led three players in double figures as Anthony Barry scored 12 and Aaron Davis added 11.

Trailing 32-29 at halftime, Brooks stormed past BB&N 72-57 to improve to 12-1. Sophomore Dylan Quigley matched his career high with 15 points and point guard Aaron Davis pumped in 13.

In his first full game back from a knee injury, Connor Mahoney scored 14 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Brooks to a 65-58 win over Thayer Academy.

Anthony Barry scored 22 points as Brooks entered its two-week break with a 58-41 win over Nobles. James Williams, of North Andover came off the bench to provide some outstanding defense and grab four rebounds.

David Berroa of Lawrence produced at both ends of the court to help Brooks whip St. Sebastian 56-43 to improve to 8-1. Berroa had 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
