MANCHESTER, N.H. — Windham matched Bedford shot for shot in the first period, and controlled play for nearly the entire third. But the middle period doomed the Jaguars.

No. 2 Bedford struck for all five of its goals in the second period, on the way to defeating  No. 7 Windham 5-2 in the Division 1 quarterfinals on Saturday at Sullivan Arena at Saint Anselm College.

Bobby DiCicco and Mike Montanile scored to give Windham a 2-0 lead. Vito Mancini (16 saves) made sure it held up as the 7th-seeded Jaguars topped No. 10 Nashua North-Souhegan, 2-1, in the Division 1 tourney first round. Windham will play No. 2 Bedford Saturday (1 p.m., at St. Anselm) in the quarterfinals.

Tommy Langlois had a hat trick and Aiden Gravell also scored as Windham defeated Bow 4-1. The Jaguars improved to 10-7 in New Hampshire.

Tommy Langlois potted the game-winner in overtime to lead Windham boys hockey to a 2-1 win over Londonderry on Saturday. Sam Neville had the goal for the Lancers to tie the game in the second period.

St. Thomas Aquinas scored in the third period to cut Windham's lead in half, but Vito Mancini (24 saves) came up clutch down the stretch to lift the Jaguars to a 2-1 win.

It was just a two-goal game heading into the third period before Windham exploded for four goals to take a 7-1 win over Nashua South-Pelham. For the Jaguars, Charlie Breen scored twice.

Mike Montanile score a whopping four goals as Windham crushed Manchester Central 13-3. Parker Rice, Stephen Salvadore and Tommy Langlois each added two goals.

Windham rallied for its first win of the year, downing Goffstown 4-2. Owen Brea had the hat trick and Vito Mancini turned aside 14 shots.

Ryan Pappalardo tallied a hat trick to lead Salem past Windham 3-2 in the Tuscan Kitchen Blue Devil Classic. Owen Larouco and Bobby DiCicco each scored a goal for the Jaguars.

SALEM, N.H. — Mason Drouin watched the play unfold in front of him, and when it was his chance to strike, the Pinkerton senior was ready.

 “My brother (Hunter Drouin) passed the puck up to Ethan Burgess, and he tried to get past a guy,” said Mason. “I just trailed him to see if the puck would come free. It did, so I shot it, and it went in. It was so exciting.”
