Cole Gilbert won No. 1 singles (8-2), Charlie Marsh took No. 2 singles (8-1) and they teamed to win No. 1 doubles (8-2) as No. 5 Windham beat No. 4 Coe-Brown 5-4 in the Division 2 first round. Windham will travel to No. 1 Oyster River in the Semifinals on Monday.

Astro rallies dominate

Pinkerton's Jacob Spezzaferri, Alex LeBlanc and Luke Brennan teamed with Nicholas Harrington to win the 4x400 (3:35.02) and Matthew Devine to win the 4x100 (44.02) at the Londonderry Invitational. Salem's Aidan McDonald was third in the 200 (22.66) and fourth in the 100 dash (11.37).

Freshman catcher Ari DeCotis continued her strong career start, blasting her 11th homer of the season in the first and adding a two-run double in the fifth to lead Windham to a 7-1 victory over Manchester Central. DeCotis had a hit in all four at bats while Kati Nolan added two singles.

Windham scored five runs in both the fourth and fifth before surviving Manchester Central's own five-spot in the seventh in a 14-11 victory. The Jaguars pounded 17 hits with Paul Armstrong providing three of them and Mason Rice, Cole Constantine, Keegan Park and John Haga each adding a pair. Windham stranded only four runners.
