Ryan Kuchar shut the door after the third inning and Pentucket's baseball team rallied for a 3-2 victory in eight innings over Stoneham in the Division 3 North prelims. The Sachems got the winning run when Jon Sirois (2 for 3) was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Kuchar finished with a four-hitter, striking out nine, and not allowing a hit pver the last five innings.

Pentucket right fielder John Sirois had a game-saving diving catch in the bottom of the seventh and then helped the cause in the top of the eighth with a suicide bunt as Pentucket defeated Lynnfield 4-2 in eight innings. Ryan Kuchar went 7 1/3 innings for the win and Bobby Barry came in to strike out two batters in the eighth for the save. He was also 2 for 4 at the plate.
Read More »Pentucket's first win of the young season came via the walk-off, 2-1, in innings vs. Triton. Tied 1-1 in the bottom of the ninth, Dylan Wright singled, stole second, moved to third on Ryan Kuchar's infield out then raced home with the game-winner on a wild pitch. Pat Beaton earned the win for sure, going all nine innings and allowing only four hits with no walks. He fanned seven.
