Windham 'streak'

 

Windham's boys won its second straight game, 52-32 over Bishop Brady. Danny Cannone tied his best mark with five 3-pointers and 18 points and Joe Lorenz combined 14 points and nine rebounds. The Jaguars held Brady to just eight points in the first half.

First for Windham

Windham's boys basketball team was not to be denied from winning its first divisional game yesterday. Trailing by 10 entering the fourth quarter, the Jaguars outscored Hollis-Brookline 15-5 and then took over in overtime to prevail 56-51. Mike Diorio led Windham with 15 points and Danny Cannone had a big steal and layup in the fourth quarter and a 3-pointer in overtime.

John Stark Regional's monster fourth quarter held off a determined Windham squad, 59-48. Junior Scott Priestley played well for the Jaguars with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 steals.

Windham's boys basketball team won its third straight game, defeating Con-Val 62-54 in the championship game to capture the White Division of the Cheshire Tire Tournament. Danny Cannone had five 3-pointers and 20 points to lead the Jaguars and point guard Alex Whitehead added 10 points.

Windham vs. Stevens (at Cheshire Tire Holiday Basketball Festival at Keene State College)

Connor Redmond (15 points, 11 rebounds) hit two key shots down the stretch during a wild fourth quarter that saw Windham complete its comeback from a six-point deficit during the final two minutes as it pulled out a 51-48 win over Stevens, in the first round of the Cheshire Tire Holiday Tourney at Keene State.  Andrew Lowman added 12 as the Jaquars earned its first win of the season. Windham plays Newport today (4 p.m.), in round two of the holiday tourney.
