Timberlane still has some bad memories of getting drubbed 6-0 by Merrimack two years ago in the playoffs. So yesterday's 3-2 win was particularly satisfying. Chris Dow scored twice and freshman Gunnar Ericsson also tallied.

Losing streak snapped

After sufferring four straight losses to Merrimack, Londonderry broke through with a 3-1 over the Tomahawks.  The win took some measure of revenge following last season's state final loss. Joe Creed (two goals) and Andre Simmond scored a pair of unanswered goals in the second half to snap a halftime tie.

Win in Pinkerton's cards

In an emotional battle highlighted by three yellow cards, senior co-captain Alex Germaine's first-half goal stood up as Pinkerton snuck past Merrimack, 1-0. Cam Mahoney (four saves) earned his first shutout of the year for the Astros (3-0) with help from seniors Mike Wanelik and Zach Wheeler as well as junior Dan Barker.

Smart move for Salem

Brian Smart cut across the front of the net and one-timed a shot to the near post to give Salem a thrilling 2-1 overtime win over Merrimack.  Cody Eller fed Smart for the game-winner and Taylor Morin made seven saves.
