A huge defensive effort in front of goaltender Alex Wellspring helped but Methuen still fell to Chelmsford, 1-0. Wellspring had a couple of athletic saves as part of his eight stops and got huge help from defenders Colin Trainor, Jesse Rodenhiser and Fred Corey.

Heavy pressure from sophomore forward Kevin Lima and senior defender Fred Corey helped the Rangers (0-2) get close.
