Shelby DiFiore also had a nice day at the plate going 2 for 2 with a single and double, two runs, and an RBI. Marion Dulleau went the distance on the mound allowing only two hits and two walks to go with two strike outs.

Kerri Carlton was 2 for 4 with a run scored for Triton (7-6 overall, 7-1 CAL). Shelby DiFiore had an RBI triple that scored the tying run (Brooke Jamison). DiFiore scored the game-winning run on a throwing error. Pitcher Marian Dullea earned the win, allowing three runs, five hits and no walks. She struck out nine.

Methuen's Sarra Bergeron fell one third-inning single short of a no-hitter, settling for a one-hit 4-0 victory over Triton. Rebecca Armstong chipped in a solo homer in the first and an RBI single in the third.

Despite being limited to a single hit, the Vikings (1-4) were able to beat Ipswich yesterday, 1-0. Mikaela Strangie (1 for 2, double, run) scored the game-winner on a wild pitch, and Marion Dulleau (7 IP, 3 hits, 1 walk, 10 Ks) pitched a gem for the win.

Julie Ann Meehan picked up the complete-game victory for Pentucket (1-3). She allowed three runs and five hits. She issued three walks and struck out nine. She also had the game-tying RBI-double. Her sister, Jen Meehan, knocked in the game-winning RBI on an infield single.

Beth Castantini hit a home run for Newburyport and Molly Rowe (7 innings pitched, 3 strikeouts, 2 walks, 2 hits, 0 earned runs) was dominant on the mound as the Clippers got a close win over Triton. Lindsey Tomasz also had two hits and an RBI, and Cassandra Davis scored the winning run.
