In what was a very close game through three quarter, Newburyport played nearly half the fourth quarter down a man due to penalties swinging the momentum in Hamilton-Wenham's favor, who scored six goals in the quarter on the way to the win.

Ryan Cutter tallied two goals and an assist for Newburyport (0-4). Alex Fiorito and Steve Matses added a goal each. Jeff Jones had an assist. Dean Cataldo made 11 saves.

The Newburyport Clippers (0-3) were outplayed by the Masconomet Chieftains yesterday, 17-2. The score at the half was 10-1. Sophomore Andrew Sokol scored the two Clipper goals, and goalie Dean Cataldo played well with 15 saves.
