Lawrence, in its last game before this weekend's Methuen Tournament, qualified for the state tournament by rallying past a strong Dracut club, 11-10. Luz Brenz (4 for 4) sparked a 16-hit attack for the Lancers (10-8), scoring three times and driving in two runs. Lucy Francisco was 2 for 3 and scored twice.

 Becca Caterino singled, stole second and scored on a base hit by Talan Barron in the second for the run that send Methuen on its way to a 2-0 win over Lawrence.

Central Catholic freshman pitcher Kayla Maloney was impressive in her first varsity start in an 8-2 win over Lawrence. She pitched a nifty three-hitter, striking out 13 and walking just one as the Raiders qualified for the tournament by improving to 10-3. She also had two hits, including a home run, to lift her average over .400.

Haverhill senior Katelyn Demers hit triples in both the fifth and seventh innings and scored both times on RBIs from winning pitcher Alicia Briggs as the Hillies edged Lawrence 3-2. Briggs also started a controversial double play to end the game when she caught a line drive and doubled a runner off third base in a close play.

Janina Santiago limited Notre Dame to just a single hit as Lawrence easily topped Notre Dame, 10-0, in six innings.

Lucy Francisco had a homer, a double, and a game-high five runs batted in as Lawrence crushed Greater Lawrence, 12-2. Kelly Sicard chipped in a pair of triples and a single, and Janina Santiago got the win, going the distance and picking up seven strikeouts while allowing just one earned run.

Luz Brenz cracked her first round-tripper of the spring and drove in a pair as Lawrence crushed PMA, 22-2. Janina Santiago pitched all four innings and picked up 12 strikeouts in the win.
