Hanna, Sanborn seniors finish strong

HILLSBOROUGH — Chris Hanna and the rest of the Sanborn seniors ended their careers on a high note.

Hanna paced the offense with 153 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, and the Indians shut out Hillsboro-Deering-Hopkinton 21-0 Saturday afternoon.

Hanna, defense fuel Sanborn

KINGSTON — As it has for most of the season, Sanborn relied on senior workhorse Chris Hanna to carry the load offensively.

Always up for a challenge, Hanna took the rock 32 times for 115 yards and a touchdown to help the Indians take a 14-13 victory over Milford.

Sanborn pushes Souhegan in loss

SOUHEGAN — Down 21-14 with 10 seconds left, Sanborn's final desperation heave attempt was intercepted, and the Indians could not pull off the upset at Souhegan.

Chris Hanna led the Sanborn (2-4) ground attack with 159 yards on 24 carries. He scored on a 9-yard rush to tie the game at 7-7 in the first quarter. Then in the second, Shaun Murphy broke through on a 6-yard run to tie the game at 14-14.

Indians fall short to ConVal

PETERBORO — Brian McGough tied the game in the first with a touchdown pass, then cut the Sanborn deficit to one score with a second quarter TD throw.

But the Indians could not quite keep pace, falling to unbeaten ConVal High School 35-14.

KINGSTON, N.H. — Chris Hanna scored on runs of 19 and 47 yards and Sanborn blitzed Manchester West 39-8.

Coach John Welch said he had to tabulate the numbers but that Hanna was over 200 yards rushing.

Senior bruiser Chris Hanna racked up 128 yards on 24 carries, but it wasn't enough to help Sanborn in a 25-7 loss at Hollis-Brookline.
