The Phillips Academy volleyball team took No. 1 Choate to a fifth game before falling in the Class A semifinals Saturday. Alex Becker and Fran Trautmann had 12 kills apiece for the Big Blue. With the win, Choate coach Dave Loeb won his 400th match.

The Phillips Academy volleyball team started slowly, dropping the first game to Milton Academy in the Class A quarterfinals, but won the nexrt three to advance to Saturday's semifinals against Choate. Alex Becker had 13 kills and 18 service points for the Big Blue.
