Andover turned a couple double plays and Collin Flynn had a big two-run single in the fourth as Andover moved into a first-place tie with Lowell and Chelmsford atop the MVC.

The Warriors came up big in the infield in the third with a bases-loaded double playand in the fourth right fielder Greg Calbro made a diving catch and doubled up a runner. Colin Flynn had a two-run single in the fourth.

Sophomore Joan Vargas threw a brilliant, eight-inning game for Lawrence but lost a tough-luck 3-2 decision to Chelmsford. The visitors scored the eventual winning run on two errors and a balk, while the Lancers loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the frame but couldn't push a run across.

Down a pair to Chelmsford, Andover rallied for a walkoff, 4-3, seventh inning win. Chris Dunn opened the frame with a walk and moved up on Brian Ganci's base hit. The pair then moved up on Colin Flynn's sacrifice bunt. Cam Farnham then made it 3-2 with an RBI hit, and Nathan Spellacy's successful suicide squeeze bunt plated Ganci with the equalizer. With Farnham at second and two down, Andrew Deloury beat out a hit to deep short, and the errant thrown chased home the dramatic game winner. Flynn earned the decision with two innings of scoreless, one-hit, one-strikeout relief.
