Suki Smith scored 14 points and had eight rebounds as Brooks rallied from a 13-point deficit to hand Kimball Union its second loss of the season, 48-45. Kimball Union's Gabby Diaz, of Lawrence, had four 3-ponters (16 points).

Brooks allowed a goal just 23 seconds into regulation, and was never able to recover, falling to Kimball Union 2-1 in the New England Prep Class B semifinals.

Phillips Academy's boys basketball team, after losing its first four games, won its fourth in the last five yesterday, 76-65 over Kimball Unon. The Big Blue, who had four players in double figures, zoomed to a  45-26 halftime lead and never looked back.
