DEDHAM — Behind a career day by Andover's Andrew Coke, Brooks just kept rolling.
The sophomore gave his squad the lead with a sack of the QB in the end zone for a safety, and added the second score on a rushing touchdown as Brooks downed Nobles 23-0.
A transfer from Andover High, Coke tallied his first career 100-plus yard rushing game, going for 117 yards on just 11 carries. He previous career-high was 45 yards on nine rushes against Rivers. He also caught a pass for 15 yards. This was especially important, since BYU-bound star QB Jordan Johnson was limited to 26 yards on 14 carries.
"Coke going over 100 yards was great," said Brooks coach Alex Konovalchik. "He's been a big part of of our team all year, but he was great today."
Methuen's Jason Buco added the Green and White's other score of the day, catching a 39-yard touchdown from Johnson.
Steve Domoracki led the defense, recording nine tackles and three sacks. Andrew Peck chipped in with a team-best 10 tackles and Ryan Gibley had eight stops for the winners.
"Domoracki was outstanding on defense," said Konovalchik. "And Brian Charlebois' interception was big. Hopefully we will keep rolling."
