Andrew Coke's seven-yard touchdown run with just over four minutes to play proved to be the difference for Brooks in a 14-7 win over Middlesex.
The victory improves the Green and White to 3-0 for the first time in 19 years (1990).
Coke's touchdown in the game's final minutes snapped a 7-7 tie that was created by halftime. Quarterback Jordan Johnson rushed for a 5-yard touchdown to cap off the game's opening drive. Middlesex responded with a second-quarter TD.
"We are super excited to start the season 3-0," said Brooks head coach Alex Konovalchik. "We feel that we have a ton of momentum going into the middle of season."
Johnson had an outstanding day as he led all Brooks rushers with 113 yards while passing for 122. Teammates Jason Buco (3 catches, 59 yards) and Brian Charlebois (2, 51) each had fine receiving days.
On defense, Buco and Coke each had interceptions, with Coke's squelching Middlesex's final rally. Steve Domoracki and Andrew Caswell each had fine games at linebacker and Ryan Gibeley each had a sack.
