NASHUA, N.H. — Londonderry lost a heartbreaker at Nashua North last night, 49-48 in overtime.

he Lancers (4-4) outgained Nashua 475-326 in the wild affair and had control of the ball more than twice as long (32:25 to 15:35), but Nashua North scored just before both the end of the first half and regulation, and a final kicked extra point in OT proved the difference.

Trailing 7-0, Alex Lambert scored three straight TDs, two on short runs and one on a 27-yard pass from Ross Johnston,  to provide Londonderry with a 21-7 lead. But North (6-1) came back with three straight touchdowns,including one with 14 seconds left, to take a 28-21 halftime lead.

Two Sean O’Gorman (15 carries, 169 yards) touchdown runs and a scoring run by Joey McLaughlin (18-109) put the Lancers ahead 42-35, but North tied it on an Andre Williams 2-yard run with just 43 seconds remaining.

Lambert and Williams traded TD runs in overtime, but the seventh straight conversion kick by North’a Taylor Miranda proved decisive.
