The Golden Warriors remain right in the thick of things in the MVC race, needing to run the table against Lowell, Chelmsford, Methuen and Central Catholic to ensure at least a share of the title.

Coach Ken Maglio says:

Midseason Mr. Reliable: "Mike Pierce. He's clearly the most valuable person to our team. Even injured, when he wasn't himself, he performed admirably."

Midseason unsung hero: "First off, it's Matt Rayner. Some of the catches he's made have just been fantastic. And I give a lot of credit to our offensive line. They've done a great job giving Pierce time."

Biggest surprise: "Defensively, our front three, Andrew Lebowitz, Mike Ardagna and Jon Maedel have stepped it up big time. They were replacing three great ones in J.B. Israel, Gordon DuBois and Mike Ruth and they've done the job."

Second-half goal: "We've been healthier the last couple weeks, and it's shown. I think we can do well."

How to make it happen: "Just take one game at a time."
