North Andover softball notched a signature win, scoring four runs in the sixth inning to turn its game with Lowell around and win, 5-2. Lowell had previously been undefeated (18-0), as had freshman pitcher Giana LaCedra (17-0), who was recently named Gatorade Massachusetts Softball Player of the Year. However, the Knights handed LaCedra and her team their first defeat in 2019, thanks to a strong complete game pitching performance from Samantha Ahlholm and a 2 for 3 showing, plus two RBIs, from Claudia Mabley.
