North Andover's softball team ended its regular season with a 17-0 romp over Essex Tech.  Olivia Rondeau led the 18-hit attack for the Knights (12-8), in just four innings, with three hits and three RBIs. Carley Howe added three RBIs on two hits.

Knights hand Lowell its first loss

North Andover softball notched a signature win, scoring four runs in the sixth inning to turn its game with Lowell around and win, 5-2. Lowell had previously been undefeated (18-0), as had freshman pitcher Giana LaCedra (17-0), who was recently named Gatorade Massachusetts Softball Player of the Year. However, the Knights handed LaCedra and her team their first defeat in 2019, thanks to a strong complete game pitching performance from Samantha Ahlholm and a 2 for 3 showing, plus two RBIs, from Claudia Mabley.

Cocchiaro tosses gem

Ashley Cocchiaro allowed three hits and one run over seven innings of work to lead Andover softball in a pivotal  5-1 win over North Andover. Paige Gillette led the Warrior offense with two RBIs.

Knights as spoilers

 

North Andover spoiled the unveiling of Haverhill's new turf softball field at the high school, defeating the Hillies 6-4. Olivia Rondeau was 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Knights (9-4) while Lindsay Joubert and Jadynne Hill (2 for 4, 2 runs scored) both hit home runs for Haverhill (6-6).

Holy Howe!

 

Carley Howe was 3 for 3, scored three times and had a whopping seven RBIs courtesy of a three-run homer and a grand slam in North Andover's 17-0 win over Lawrence. Haley Gove was also 3 for 3 with three runs scored.

Julia Chittick tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits to lead North Andover softball to an 8-0 win over Chelmsford. Olivia Rondeau went 3 for 4 and scored three runs.

Devin McElhiney went 2 for 3 and drove in the lone run of the game to help North Andover defeat Haverhill, 1-0. Julia Chittick got the win in a pitchers' duel against Haverhill's Sicily DiDomenico.
