Hoey (6 TDs) leads Pelham to rout

HOLLIS — Ian Hoey couldn't be stopped Saturday afternoon.

Pelham's junior quarterback threw for 250 yards and five touchdowns and also rushed for a sixth score as the Pythons improved to 3-2 with a 43-14 romp of Hollis-Brookline. 

Four of those passes went to 6-foot-2 senior Nick Milano, who hauled in TDs of 40, 60, 62, and 56 yards all in the first half to lead the Pythons to a 30-0 lead at the break. In the second, Hoey plowed in from a yard out for a score then finished his day finding Matt Crowley on a 10-yard strike. 

Brett Lindsay led the way on the ground with 125 yards on 20 carries, and Charlie Katin broke off a 51-yard touchdown for the game's first score.

Defensively, Pelham racked up five sacks and came away with an interception.

"I thought the kids played a tremendous game," said Pelham coach Tom Babaian. "We played a full 48-minute game. We can build upon this win."

 Pelham hosts Souhegan Friday at 7 p.m.
