Trailing Manchester Essex 39-34 going into the fourth quarter, Amesbury mounted a late comeback to win 63-60 in overtime. Ciara Sullivan hit the game-winning shot with 20 seconds left in overtime, and Sadie Kermelewicz iced it with free throws down the stretch. Catherine Laforte also hit three of her four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and overtime, and Alli Napoli led the team with 21 points. Amesbury also welcomed back leading scorer Flannery O'Connor, who scored 9 points in limited minutes as she works her way back from an ankle injury. Coach Matt Willis said O'Connor won't play in the team's next game, but has made good progress.
