MIDDLETOWN, R.I. — The long drive to St. Georges must have made the Brooks football team anxious to get going.
The Green and White erupted for 30 points in the first quarter and had 51 at halftime before easing off for a 51-21 victory.
North Andover's Sean Lambert got the rout started quickly with a 60-yard TD pass to Terrell Brown and, after a 70-yard run by Jaylen Cromwell, threw TD strikes of 60 and 40 yards to former Pentucket standout Pat Freiiermuth, who also blocked an extra pomnt try resulting in a two-point runback by Cromwell.
Lambert also had a 45-yard scoring run in the second quarter as the Green and White improved to 2-1.
