Pinkerton baseball scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning, and Richard Marique pitched six scoreless innings to help the Astros beat Alvirne 9-0 in Thursday's Division 1 First Round matchup.
Catcher Mike Jellison went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and a run, and designated hitter Connor Jenkins went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs to lead the offense. Pinkerton (14-6) will now face Spaulding in the quarterfinals on Saturday at 4 p.m.
