Brian Meikle improved to 2-0 on the year, pitching his second straight gem for North Andover, which edged Whittier, 2-0. Billy Della Rocca had a pair of hits for the Knights. Dillon Ryan blasted a two-run homer for the Wildcats.
it was a miracle to see alex pakres on the diamond for the varsity team as he pinched hit in his first game. I was proud to see what hard work did for alex and the time he deserved to get an at bat against wilmington. Although lining out i have heard of great things that alex pakres has to offer for the team this year. With a couple more at bats i see the fence being moved back due to the homeruns i see alex pakres hitting this season.
#2 04/17/2008 09:17 AMThe box score was not correct. Billy Della Rocca didn't have two hits. Josh Breeden had a two out triple that plated two runs to tie the game, he also knocked in the first run and scored the game winning run.

I was reading the box scores and was dissapointed to not seeing alex parkes name in it. I wonder what might have happened. I happened to ask one of my buddies from whittier if they saw a #24, and they said no. So that makes me wonder where he was. Maybe down a level for the day. I hope to see him progress as the season moves on.
