Odds and ends: North Andover resident and 2006 Eagle-Tribune hockey Player of the Year Bobby Farnham will play next year at Brown University. His father, Bob, is a member of the Brown Athletic Hall of Fame as a wide receiver and his cousin, Buddy Farnham, currently stars at wideout for the Brown Bears. ... Farnham scored five goals last year, his first at Phillips, while battling injuries. ... Former Andover High scoring machine Tucker Mullin (33-29|62 last year) and North Reading defender Jack Walsh (9-25|34), both Eagle-Tribune All-Stars a year ago, have impressed as postgrads. ... Andrew Cox will play at Holy Cross next year. ... Andover's Ryan Heavy returns as a defenseman.

Coach Dean Boylan (8th year, 96-73-13): "We have a very strong group of good athletes. Andrew (Cox) and Bobby (Farnham) will be our leaders. Bobby was injured last year, but he looks terrific and ready to have a super season. ... On defense, Ryan Heavey is returning and Jack (Walsh) and Pat (Keegan) are key pickups as postgrads that will help us out. Bennett (Carroccio) had a strong sophomore year and Tucker (Mullin) looks great. He has fit right in and has a great motor."
