Merrimack College junior forward Mike Collins has been named Hockey East Co-Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Jon Swavely of Maine.
Collins led the Warriors on Friday night to the 3-2 victory over No. 4 UNH with two goals, an assist, his fifth three-point game of the season. The junior has nine points in his last five conference games and has racked up a team-high 25 points in 16 conference matchups. His 1.56 points per game in conference play is tops in Hockey East.
Merrimack (10-10-5, 8-6-2 HEA) will return home Friday to take on the UMass Lowell RiverHawks at 7 p.m.
