Georgetown brought a ton of emotion to its first proper home game, battling North Reading's brutal running game effectively. But the Royals' injury-racked offense just couldn't bring enough consistency to the table on a muddy field, dropping a 14-0 decision.
The Hornets ended up with just 215 yards of offense but controlled the ball for almost 29 of the game's 44 minutes.
Carl Lipani (132 yards) had a nimble 28-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter, then after a pair of unsportsmanlike conduct calls on Georgetown, Michael Cresta found the end zone from a yard out with 30 seconds left in the half.
