A big positive may have come out of Andover's 3-0 loss to powerful St. John's Prep in the form of Jonah Adler.
The senior "stepped up his game" according to head coach Dave Kuykendall, showing relentless hustle that moved him from a front-row only player to competing all over the court. Adler was 5 of 5 serving, adding two blocks and a kill, but what impressed were his intangibles.
"He hustled to keep some balls alive that other players wouldn't have bothered to go after," Kuykendall said. "He kept us in the last game (a tight 25-22 setback), that's for sure."
