Behindfive goals from senior Ally Fazio, Andover beat the top-ranked team in the state, Notre Dame, 13-11. Andover moves to 10-3 on the season while the Golden Warriors handed Notre Dame (11-1) its first loss of the season.
"We're going through a tough stretch in our schedule," said Andover head coach John McVeigh. "We lost a couple of tough games and I'm just really, really proud of this group for sticking with it. We had a great first half, and we knew they'd make a run, but I'm proud of the way we hung in there."
