Holderness tied it two minutes into third then took lead with three minutes left en route to a 5-3 win over Brooks in the semifinals of the New England Prep Piatelli-Simmons Tourney. Mitch Nylen, Greg Conrad, Andrew Bruno scored for Brooks. Nick Potter had two assists. Zander Buttress led the defense.
"It's the best season we've had in years. We were ISL Eberhart co-champs and advanced to the New England Prep semis for the second time in school history. The tourney has been around 30 years," said Brooks coach David Ries.
