Salem hit six 3-pointers in the first quarter for all its points while taking an 18-9 lead on its way to a 72-42 rout of Dover. Ben Slepian led the way with five 3-pointers, including three in the opening frame, and 23 points as the Blue Devils drilled nine 3-pointers overall. Jonny Klecan had 12 points and 10 assists as Salem outscored Dover 45-28 in the second half.
"We've been talking about closing teams out and we did that tonight," said Salem coach Rob McLaughlin.
