Methuen's softball team knocked Chelmsford from the unbeaten ranks with an impressive 4-1 victory. Carissa Cicolini pitched a nifty four-hitter for the Rangers (7-2), striking out six, while Courtney Bradley and Jess Rader both had two-run triples and two hits. Bradley was also outstanding defensively.
"We played very well and this was just a huge win for us," said Methuen coach Jason Smith.
