CHARLESTOWN – A year ago, Methuen pushed Charlestown to the brink, leading by 12 in the third quarter before falling in their preliminary-round matchup.

Senior Night went successfully for Methuen, blowing out Durfee, 73-48. Junior Ryan Freeman was part of a bevy of successful performances for the Rangers, scoring nine points and adding 10 rebounds.

Haverhill's boys ended its  season on a high note, nipping playoff-bound Methuen 50-49. Noah Vonleh was the story for the Hillies (7-13) with 19 points just the start of his contributions.

Senior Raudy Minaya put on a show, scoring 24 points, including netting five 3-pointers, in Methuen boys basketball's 61-38 victory over Tewksbury. 

Raudy Minaya knocked down a 3-pointer with under 30 seconds left, and Mike Gorman iced the victory with a pair of free throws as Methuen held off hard-charging Greater Lawrence 76-73. Minaya, who hit four 3-pointers in the fouth quarter, outdualed Donald Celesten, who finished with 39 points

Methuen's boys basketball team clinched the MVC small school title with a 51-48 victory over Methuen. James Staples, battling a call, sank his only shot of the night — a 3-pointer — with 11 seconds left to clinch it for the Rangers (9-7). Raudy Minaya had four 3-pointers and 14 points.

 Raudy Minaya (22 points, 10 rebounds) and Kyle Mansour (18 points, 10 rebounds) had impressive double-doubles and Mike Gorman added 13 points and 8 assists as Methuen downed Chelmsford 65-52.

Kyle Mansour scored 13 points and grabbed 12 boards to lead Methuen to a lopsided 59-32 win over Dracut. James Staples drilled three 3-pointers and totalled 12 points. Raudy Minaya also had 12 points for the Rangers (7-7, 6-4 MVC 2).

Jarvis Castro and Kevin Higgins played excellent defense and combined for seven points to help lead Methuen to a 58-47 victory over Dracut. Michael Gorman added 10 assists for Methuen. 

With 12 assists and two baskets, Michael Gorman had a hand in over half of Methuen's field goals in a 62-40 triumph over Chelmsford. James Staples highlighted a strong defensive effort with three steals.
