EXETER — The Pinkerton boys lacrosse team needed an answer.

Pinkerton boys lacrosse is headed to the NHIAA Division 1 state title game to face Bishop Guertin for the seventh straight season, following a 12-7 win over Exeter. Ryan Auger led with four goals and Gennaro Marra added three.

The Pinkerton boys lacrosse team made quick work of Londonderry, dispatching their archrivals 21-8 in the Division 1 quarterfinals. Ryan Auger and Owen McCormack each had five goals for the Astros, and Hunter and Mason Drouin added seven goals combined. The second-seeded Astros will now play No. 3 Exeter in the semis at Bill Ball Stadium Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Ryan Auger was everywhere for the Pinkerton lacrosse team, scoring three goals and dishing out five assists in a 10-7, cross-state win against Andover. Hunter Drouin chipped in four goals for the Astros (14-4), and Shamus Florio led the Warriors with four goals.

Mason Drouin scored four goals and Hunter Drouin and Ryan Auger each netted a hat trick as Pinkerton topped longtime rival Exeter 13-7.

Hunter Drouin scored five goals and had five assists and Mason Drouin added five goals of his own as Pinkerton rolled over Nashua South 19-4.

Pinkerton trailed Exeter, 6-5, at halftime, but managed to outscore the hosts, 5-3, in the second half and seal a victory. Junior Mason Drouin led the Astros with three goals, while seniors Owen McCormack and Gennaro Marra each added two. Junior Jack Sweeney made five saves.

Defending Division 1 state champion Pinkerton dominated Nashua North, 18-0, to open its season. Senior Owen McCormack led all scorers with four goals, while senior Ryan Auger and junior Mason Drouin each added three. Auger led with seven assists and McCormack and sophomore Hunter Drouin each had three.
