Royals win on Senior Night

The Georgetown boys soccer team sent its seniors out winners on Friday, beating Amesbury 3-0 on Senior Night. Brendan Willis scored twice in the second half, and Michael Lundquist scored the opening goal off a header from Colin Nally. Kenny Laurent and Chris DeLuca also had assists in the win.

Blackmon's late heroics

With just over two minutes to play and the game still scoreless, Harry Blackmon received a corner kick from Ryan Archer and buried it to give the Newburyport boys soccer team a 1-0 win over Georgetown. Ronan Harrington also had a terrific game as the Clippers improved to 4-2-3 on the year.

Royals fight through the mud

Georgetown and Amesbury soccer battled for an hour of scoreless soccer on a muddy field before Georgetown's James Mozzer snuck a goal inside the near post on an assist from Coty Angelopolous. Sam Mroz sealed the deal with his first career goal to give the Royals the 2-0 win. Georgetown improves to 4-5-1, while Amesbury falls to 0-7-1.

Regan scores two

Georgetown's Ryan Regan scored two goals as the Royals downed Methuen 3-1. Michael Lundquist had a goal and an assist and Ryan Kottcamp and James Mozzer also had assists in the win.

First varsity goal

Georgetown's Aidan Maguire scored his first career varsity goal, blasting a shot to the top corner to help lead the Royals to a 3-0 win over Rockport. Michael Lundquist extended the lead late in the first half and James Mozzer added a third to seal the deal. Brendan Willis made 12 saves in net and players like Kenny Laurent, Jensen Packard, Jim Doucette and Coty Angelopoplous had great games as well.
