Asa Runge had a remarkable day to lead No. 3 Pinkerton baseball to a 10-6 win over No. 11 Keene in the Division 1 quarterfinals. The sophomore went 4 for 4 at the plate with a grand slam and six RBIs, then came on to pitch the final two innings to send the Astros (17-4) to the next round.

Astros walk off

After allowing five runs to Bishop Guertin in the top of the seventh to tie the game, Pinkerton got a leadoff walk from Richard Marique in the bottom half who was then singled home a couple of batters later by Jake McGill to give the Astros a 7-6 walk-off win.

Web gem finish

According to Timberlane baseball coach Jamie Fish, senior Kyle Gleason "ran a country mile" to track down a fly ball in right field and made a diving catch to end the game and secure a 1-0 win over Pinkerton. The Astros had runners on first and third with two outs when Gleason made his dive. The Owls scored their lone run in the first, when Cam Sweet hit a rocket that bounced off an umpire and into left field and scored Christian Allaire.
