First varsity goals

 

Keegan O'Keefe and Trevor Blanchard both scored their first varsity goals as Pentucket's boys had no problem defeating Lynnfield, 4-1. Six different players were involved in the scoring for the Sachems (11-2-2).

Sachems' balance

 

 

Pentucket's boys soccer team got goals from three different players, including high score Jake Dickson, and assists from three others in a 3-0 shutout of Amesbury. The Sachems improved to 10-2-2.

Sachems win thriller

Pentucket boys soccer trailed Hamilton-Wenham 1-0 for almost the entire game, but in the last four minutes scored twice to steal a dramatic 2-1 victory. Pat Dillon started the rally by smashing a deep shot to the left post to tie the game. Then, with two minutes left, Jake Dickson received a pass from Mike Armao, beat his man on the left endline and sent a cross into the box, only for the ball to bounce off a defender into the goal for the winner. Pentucket (8-1-2) qualifies for the state tournament with the win.

One-two punch

 

Jake Dickson and Patrick Sullivan both had a pair of goals and an assist as Pentucket pulled away in the second half for a 6-2 win over North Reading to improve to 7-1-1.

Messier's first goal

Pentucket's Jake Messier scored his first varsity goal as the boys soccer team downed Ipswich 3-1. The Sachems are now 6-1-1 on the season.

Dickson leads way

 

Jake Dickson scored his fifth goal of the season and added an assist as Pentucket's boys blanked Georgetown 3-0. Goalie Brendan Willis was outstanding for the Royals.

Late eruption

With the game tied 1-1 with 10 minutes to play in the second half, Pentucket boys soccer exploded for four goals to race past Manchester Essex 5-2. Liam McDonough scored two goals and Pat Dillon, Mike Armao and Jake Dickson each had one.

Dickson the hero

After a nifty corner kick by Ryan Gallagher, Jake Dickson scored the equalizer on a header with a minute to play to give Pentucket a 1-1 tie with Newburyport. The Port converted its only shot of the game.
