Nick Murphy placed third in the mile (4:31.70) to lead Pentucket to a ninth-place finish at Division 4 States. He and Morgan Capener (5th, 600) placed in individual events and on the fifth-place 4x800 team.

3 school records

 

Pentucket's boys track team set three school records while tying Masconomet and whipping Triton. Billy O'Neil set a new mark in the 300 with a 36.68, Morgan Capener ran 1:26.48 in the 600 and Jack Clohisy went 8.68 in the 55 hurdles. The Sachems ended their season at 8-1-1 in second place.

Sachems surge

Nick Murphy won the mile (4:58.98), Billy O'Neil took the 300 (40.96), Morgan Chanter won the 600 (1:37.75) and they teamed with Jake Colesly to win the 4x400 as Pentucket beat Amesbury (63-23) and Ipswich (58-28).

Junior Jarrett Wright was brought up from the JV roster for a dual meet against Hamilton-Wenham, and he delivered a first place finish in the 300-meter in 40.8 to help Pentucket win the meet.
