Andover moves on

Emily Van Antwerp scored in the first half and her sister Michaela added the insurance in the second half as No. 21 Andover topped No. 12 Medford, 2-0, in the first round of the Division 1 North Tourney.  The Golden Warriors travel to No. 5 Acton-Boxboro on Monday (6:30 p.m.).

Antwerps the difference in Battle of Andovers

Senior Michaela Antwerp's 30-yard blast hit off the crossbar but her freshman sister Emily was there to put in the rebound and give Andover a 1-0 win over North Andover. And a third Antwerp, Emily's twin Sarah, anchored the defense. Olivia Biles (8 saves) made a tough deflection with five minutes left to clinch the victory. For North Andover, Shannon O'Connor amd Erika Zahoruiko each played well for the Knights.
