Brooks led by three goals, but Phillips turned it on and rolled to an 11-8 victory. The Big Blue limited the visitors to two second-half goals. Brooke Van Valkenburg and Kyleigh Keating had four goals apiece in the win.

Still undefeated

Falling behind Thayer Academy 9-3 in the second half, Brooks staged a furious comeback culminating with Chapin Duke's free position goal with three seconds left in regulation to tie the game. Both teams scored in overtime, creating an 11-11 tie that preserved each squad's unbeaten record. Goalie Carly Churchill (15 saves) played 20 minutes of shutout goaltending allowing Duke (four goals) and Georgetown's Liv King (two goals) to get Brooks back in the contest.

Senior delight

 

Brooks' seniors had never beaten perennial girls lacrosse power Nobles — until yesterday. North Andover's Margaret Klein and Georgetown's Olivia King both scored twice as Brooks (5-0) whipped Nobles 14-6.
