Parascandola repeats at heptathlon

NASHUA, N.H. — It took Londonderry senior Becca Parascandola exactly 14.48 seconds to show her 54 rivals at the New Hampshire Heptathlon that they’d be competing for second place.

That is how long it took her to run the first event Saturday, the 100-meter high hurdles. That established a new area mark, smashing the 14.61 she ran at the Class L championships.

Higgins triples up

Salem's Melissa Higgins was unstoppable, winning the long jump, 300 hurdles and 200 meters, but the heroics weren't enough for the Blue Devil girls, who fell to Pinkerton, 87-58.

Besting rivals

 Despite wins in the high jump and 100 hurdles for Becca Parascandola, Londonderry fell to archrival Pinkerton 86-59.
