Astros advance

Pinkerton backed up its regular season victory over Goffstown in the best way possible, bouncing the second seed from the Class L tourney with a 5-3 victory. As in the April matchup, a late-game explosion — this time a three-run sixth inning — did the trick as sophomore Brandon Rodgers' second double of the game drove in a pair for the No. 15 Astros.

Branden Rodgers' 3-run triple sparked Pinkerton to a 6-5 victory over Alvirne. Steven Curry added a pair of RBIs for the Astors (8-10) who own a key tiebreaker over the Broncos (8-10).

Jake Finnegan was a run-producing machine as Londonderry pounced on Pinkerton, 12-5. The senior had an RBI double in the first inning, a two-run single in the second, a run-scoring base hit in the third and a sacrifice fly in the fifth. Sophomore Dan Kinnon had two doubles and two RBIs while winning pitcher Geoff Fisher added a triple.
